Mona tells the story through the account Um Gharam shared with her.
The farm visit
After an argument, Fahd ordered Um Gharam to deliver food to Antar, a thirty-five-year-old Sudanese worker who had been employed on the farm for fifteen years. She said Fahd withheld the worker’s money and prevented him from returning home, adding another imbalance of power to the household.
Um Gharam drove to the vineyard, then carried the food along a difficult path to the worker’s hut. Antar seemed disappointed that Samah, a household employee who usually brought his meals, had not come instead.
The next day, Um Gharam followed Samah to the farm. She discovered a secret relationship between Samah and Antar and began recording them, threatening to show Fahd.
A recording used against her
The confrontation escalated. Antar and Samah physically restrained Um Gharam, took control of the phone, and used an intimate recording involving her as leverage. The account combines descriptions of force with Um Gharam’s later attraction to Antar. That later attraction does not erase the coercion described in the initial encounter.
Antar warned that if she told Fahd about them, he would reveal the new recording. Um Gharam left with Samah, afraid of the consequences of speaking.
Later, Um Gharam arranged further visits with Samah. She described paying to maintain the arrangement while keeping her husband unaware. Samah worried that discovery could cost her job and force her to leave the country.
A secret that became a demand
By the time Um Gharam contacts Mona, the arrangement has become another source of pressure. She says Antar wants more frequent visits and threatens to tell Fahd if she refuses.
Her husband has noticed that something seems different, but this part of the story ends before any confrontation or discovery. Um Gharam promises a second part to her story after hearing this account on the channel.
The first part ends with the secrets still in place. A recording intended to expose someone else has become a weapon against her, and the relationship she later chose to continue has not freed her from that weapon.
