Amani’s Private Swimming Lessons and Azza’s Hidden Connection

Amani had been divorced for six years and was raising her thirteen-year-old son Fares. When he asked to join swimming lessons like a friend, she called her neighbor Azza, who had already enrolled her own child.

Azza agreed to take them to the club and joked about the coach, Abdel Aziz, known as Zizo. Amani initially insisted she was interested only in her son’s lessons.

The club would soon become more than a place for Fares’s lessons, as the adults began conversations

and visits of their own.

The conversations became personal

At the club, Amani explained that she was Fares’s responsible parent and would handle the fees. Zizo taught the boy and later offered to bring him home because he lived near Amani’s building.

Over the following months, their conversations about Fares’s progress became more familiar. Zizo suggested that Amani learn to swim too. She worried about joining a crowded public session, and he offered private lessons after hours.

She agreed on the condition that Azza not know. Zizo then admitted that Azza already attended similar private sessions. Amani accepted the separate arrangement, asking that each woman’s visits remain private.

An after-hours visit

Amani went to the club around midnight, telling Fares she would be visiting a relative. Zizo let her in and began the lesson. His comments and behavior became more personal than ordinary coaching, and the encounter developed into an intimate adult relationship.

Afterward, Amani asked about Azza’s visits. She proposed arriving during one of them as a surprise. Zizo agreed and arranged the time.

When Amani entered the next session, Azza was startled. The two women learned that neither had exclusive knowledge of the coach’s attention. They then participated in a further private adult encounter together.

Looking back on the change

Later, Amani reflected on the distance between her earlier determination to avoid relationships and the secret visits she had begun making. Azza spoke about dissatisfaction in her own marriage, while Amani questioned the influence their friendship had exerted on her decisions.

Amani ends her account questioning how a routine visit to enroll her son had led to a separate, concealed relationship with the coach. The people around her know only part of what the club now means to her.
